The IAAF technical delegates conducted their first site visit to the British capital for the IAAF World Championships, London 2017.

Led by senior vice president Bob Hersh, council member Jose Maria Odriozola and IAAF Technical Committee member Brian Roe, together with the IAAF competitions director Paul Hardy and senior competitions manager Carlo de Angeli, the delegation visited the Olympic Stadium with members of the local organising committee to see the current state of construction and the changes made following the London 2012 Olympic Games.

In addition, the delegation toured the proposed marathon and race walk courses as well as the team accommodation and commenced initial discussions on the timetable as well as various other competition-related matters.

The IAAF World Championships will be held in London from 5-13 August 2017.
