Wilson Kipsang is targeting a third Virgin Money London Marathon win on Sunday and believes he can break his own course record.
Kipsang set the current course record of 2:04:29 when he claimed his second London title in 2014, having previously won in 2012.
Kipsang finished second to Eliud Kipchoge in 2015, but says he is now in a position to win the Virgin Money London Marathon for a third time.
"Last year I was second, with a difference of five seconds, so I think from that time I have been in a position to critically analyse, and try to train and to prepare very well," he said.
"I've worked on my speed and endurance to make sure this time I will be in a position to beat my fellow athletes, run as fast as I can and maybe even run a course record."
