Germany name strong Birmingham squad – An additional three people could yet be added next weekend after a meeting in Chemnitz.

The German Athletics Federation (DLV) have announced the team for the European Athletics Indoor Championships in Birmingham next week. At the moment the squad has 15 men and 15 women including the runners for the 4×400 m relay squad.

The team is a mix from old stars like Kirsten Bolm (60 m hurdles), Bianca Kappler (Long Jump) and Tim Lobinger (Pole Vault) and fairly new names like Christian Blum (60 m), Verena Sailer (60 m) and Julia Hütter (Pole Vault).
, the world indoor leader of the season, along with Tim Lobinger (6,00 m in 1997 and 1999) and Danny Ecker (6,00m in 2001).
