GERMAN MEETINGS – DUESSELDORF – Top-class women’s sprints – 8th “PSD Bank Meeting” at the Athletics Hall at Arena Sportpark in Duesseldorf on 8th February.

Duesseldorf, 2013. Suspense guaranteed: The women’s 60m flat and the 60m hurdles let expect top-class times and meeting records at the 8th “PSD Bank Meeting” at the Athletics Hall at Arena Sportpark in Duesseldorf on 8th February.

In the field: The 2012 European champions in the 100m flat and the 100m hurdles, Ivet Lalova (Bulgaria) and Nevin Yanit (Turkey), and both will meet strong competition from overseas – 28-year-old Lalova the World indoor silver medallist Muerielle Ahoure (Ivory Coast) and the 2010 World indoor bronze medallist Ruddy Zang Milama (Gabon) in the 60m flat.

A fast US duo is awaiting the 26-year-old Turk, who took fifth place at the London Olympics, in the 60m hurdles: Danielle Carruthers finished runner-up at the 2011 World Championships in Daegu as well as at the 2011 and 2012 “PSD Bank Meeting in Duesseldorf, and Virginia Crawford came fifth at the 2010 World Indoor Championships.

The 7th “PSD Bank Meeting” was the fourth-best Indoor Meeting in the ranking of the International Athletics Federation (IAAF) in 2012 thus establishing itself in the top of all indoor meetings.

In the past years the “PSD Bank Meeting” has always attracted a sell-out crowd of 2,000. In 2013, 650,000 fans watched the performances of the international and national top stars on Eurosport.

Eurosport will broadcast again in 2013.
