GERMAN MEETINGS: DUESSELDORF – PSD Bank Meeting sold out once again – More than 130 athletes from 36 nations to compete

“Full house” at the 12th PSD Bank Meeting, to take place at the Duesseldorf Athletics Hall at Arena Sportpark on February 1, 2017.

Thus the meeting, part of the IAAF World Indoor Tour for the first time this year, can boast sell-out crowds of 2,000 spectators for several successive years. “We are completing the dozen this year with the twelfth edition and are once again sold out several days before the event“, says Martin Ammermann, CEO Duesseldorf Congress Sport & Event.

“The PSD Bank Meeting has been one of the world’s best indoor meetings for years and is part of the IAAF World Indoor Tour for the first time this year. Thanks to the excellent organisation at Arena Sportpark and the reliable sponsors, headed by the PSD Bank Rhein-Ruhr, the world’s top athletes continue to come to Duesseldorf.”

Altogether more than 130 athletes from 36 nations will compete at the 12th PSD Bank Meeting in Duesseldorf; among them numerous World and European champions and Olympic medal winners.

The host nation, Germany, has entered 32 competitors, followed by the USA (14), Kenya and Poland (8 each), the Netherlands (7), France and Great Britain (6 each).
