Duesseldorf, January 2013. The field of entries at the 8th edition of the “PSD Bank Meeting” at the Athletics Hall at Arena Sportpark in Duesseldorf (8 February 2013) is taking shape. Now the 2012 Olympic runner-up in London and 2011 World champion, US American Jason Richardson, has confirmed his participation in the 60m hurdles.

After the two German pole-vaulters Bjoern Otto (silver) and Raphael Holzdeppe (bronze) and Kenyan 800m runner Timothy Kitum (bronze), 26-year-old Richardson is already the fourth London Olympic medallist to compete in Duesseldorf.

From among the numerous upcoming indoor meetings in Europe, Jason Richardson has decided to start exclusively at the “PSD Bank Meeting” in Duesseldorf, where he will meet Cuba’s 21-year-old Orlando Ortega, who finished sixth at the 2012 Olympics; Frenchman Pascal Martinot-Lagarde, the 2012 World indoor bronze medallist; last year’s winner Kevin Craddock (USA) and half a dozen German athletes, among them the Olympic competitor and three-time national champion Matthias Buehler.

The 7th “PSD Bank Meeting” was the fourth-best Indoor Meeting in the ranking of the International Athletics Federation (IAAF) in 2012 thus establishing itself in the top of all indoor meetings.

In the past years the “PSD Bank Meeting” has always attracted a sell-out crowd of 2,000. In 2013, 650,000 fans watched the performances of the international and national top stars on Eurosport. Eurosport will broadcast again in 2013.
