GERMAN MEETINGS: BERLIN – 72. ISTAF responds to the German athletes successes in Moscow: Shot Put Women new in program!

Berlin – A promise is a promise! The organizers of the 72nd International Stadium Festival announced before the IAAF World Championships 2013 that they will present all German medalist and as many world champions as possible at the ISTAF on the 1st of September 2013.

After Christina Schwanitz's surprising silver medal on the 12th of August, the women's shot put will be added to the program on short-notice.

Even world champion Valerie Adams from New Zealand has already confirmed her participation.

Christina Schwanitz achieved a personal best in her last attempt with 20.41m and had only been defeated by the two-time Olympic medalist Adams. All five German medal winners will sure be competing at the ISTAF. The pole vaulters Raphael Holzdeppe (Gold) and Björn Otto (Bronze) had confirmed their participation in the long term as well as discus-giant Robert Harting (Gold). Decathlete Michael Schrader (Silver) will attend the ISTAF as a guest.

So far, 44,000 tickets have been sold for the 72nd International Stadium Festival 2013. As last year, there are five price levels, starting at EUR 9.00 for seats in the Upper Tier and ending at EUR 39.00 for the best seats in the Lower Tier at the finishing line. In between, there are Price Level 4 for EUR 14.00 (Lower Tier Curve), Level 3 for EUR 19.00 (Lower Tier Back Straight), and Level 2 (at the 100 meters start) for EUR 29.00.
