GB & NI CONFIRM MARATHON SELECTIONS FOR 2025 EUROPEAN ROAD RUNNING CHAMPIONSHIPS

GB & NI have confirmed the selections for the Marathon races at the 2025 European Road Running Championships 11-12 April 2025 in Leuven, Belgium.

The inaugural event which will combine elite race championships with mass participation opportunities, also comprises a 10km and half marathon race.

For the men’s marathon, George James (coach: Rob Russell, club: Dorking & Mole Valley) is selected whilst Georgina Schwiening (Cambridge Runners) and Mhairi Maclennan (Ross Cairns, Inverness) go in the women’s race.

The selected 10km team for GB & NI will be announced on 5 March 2025, with the half marathon team announced on 19 February.
