For all those that are returning to the Fort Lauderdale A1A Marathon, heads up! You will be running through Birch State Park at the beginning of the race instead of the end! This puts the park at miles 5 and 6 on the course instead of miles 23 and 24 for the marathon and miles 10 and 11 for the half marathon.

Imagine going hungry, right here, in the wealthiest country in the world. It hardly seems possible but it's true. The reasons are many. Job losses. Stagnant or declining wages. Escalating costs and high medical expenses. The fact is, 49 million Americans are at risk of hunger*. That's one in six Americans, and many of them are children and the elderly. Here's another fact that might shock you, 20% of all food produced in the United States goes to waste. And that's where Feeding South Florida comes in.
Feeding South Florida helps the community through food distribution programs. Now able to distribute over 23 million pounds of food annually, we feed approximately 1 million people in need each year.
