FLASH: 27. Philips PILA HalfMarathon/POL with new track record for the women – „Run with the neighbours – in Poland“!
FLASH: The 27th Philips PILA Half-Marathon (formerly Schneidemühl) took place with runners-friendly temperatures.
Race director Henryk Paskal could be happy with a record of the race with more than 3,600 finishers (about 350 more than 2016) and a new course record for women.
Stellah Barsosio (KEN) ran a new course record with 1:11:09 and improved the old record by more than 1 minute.
The two Kenyans Kimaiyo 1:03:28 and Mwangi 1:03:53 ran ahead with a big lead.
Third and Polish half-marathon champion was Arkadiusz Gardzielewski with 1:05:32.
Ewa Jagielska from Poland also finished third overall at 1: 17.15, becoming the Polish half marathon champion.
