European Athletics (EAA) – News – European indoor champion Helen Clitheroe returns to Glasgow

Great Britain’s 2011 European Athletics Indoor Championships 3000m gold medallist Helen Clitheroe will start her 2012 competitive campaign by racing over her title-winning distance at the Aviva International Match, a European Athletics Indoor Permit Meeting, in the Scottish city of Glasgow on 28 January.

Clitheroe, who celebrated her 38th birthday on Monday, will be looking to make it three wins in a row at the meeting after victories in 2010 and last year.

In an interview last week on the UK Athletics federation website, Clitheroe talks about the reaction to her win in Paris last March, her recent training in Kenya and her ambitions for 2012 as she bids to make her third Olympic Games.
