Athlete comments during the official press conference ahead of the Budapest SPAR European Cross Country Championships.

Henrik Ingebrigtsen (NOR) Helsinki 2012 1500m gold medallist:
I was injured for a long time last year, the 2011 SPAR European Cross Country Championships was the beginning of my 2012 season. I had a great season, after the track and field season, I prepared 2 or 3 months for this cross country event, I feel that I am in good shape, I hope I will be successful on Sunday.

Emelia Gorecka (GBR) defending junior women's SPAR European cross country champion:
I would like to win again and defend my cross country title. I feel confident and I am in good shape. The venue is wonderful, I really like it. I enjoy that I am the defending champion and there are eyes on me. Well, we can not say 1 or 2 names who will be the certain winners, we have to prepare for the unexpected.

Szabó Sándor (HUN) men's junior:
The venue is difficult, but great, the snow is going to cause a little problem, but the conditions will be the same for everybody. I do not think in terms of placements, I want to try my best, run as fast as I can, I am trying everything to perform well. I would like to run and outperform for myself and be proud of myself.
