European Athletics – (EA) – News – Mascot Adam unveiled for 2016 Euro Champs

Adam, the spray painting lion, has been chosen to help promote the 2016 Amsterdam European Athletics Championships.

Adam will takeover from Cooly, the overexcited cow and official mascot of the 2014 European Athletics Championships in Zurich.

Several design ideas from Dutch fans were taken into consideration and the name "Adam" stuck out most and was selected by Yves Dhondt and his son Niklas from Best, a small village in the southern Netherlands, who will receive a personal visit from Adam.

Amsterdam is known for its art scene and it seems rather fitting that Adam is quite the painter.
