European Athletics Commissions for 2008-2011 announced

European Athletics is pleased to announce that the process of appointing the various commissions for the period 2008-2001 is now complete.

The process has included nominations by the European Athletics Council, confirmation by the respective federations of the nominees and personal acceptance by the nominees themselves.

Hansjörg Wirz, President of European Athletics said:

"The commissions play an important feedback and advisory role in the life of our organisation. However, their input is also required to maximise the value of the system."

"We require and welcome all the different members' feedback, positive or negative, so that their ideas can be taken into consideration. I would like take this opportunity to thank all the Commission members for taking up this challenge and agreeing to give their valuable time and expertise to our sport."
