There are sayings on running shirts like: “Here I run; I can not help it.“ Many runners will agree. And some might also think of the famous sentence of Martin Luther 500 years ago:

“Here I stand, I can not help it.”

Courage and faith in God are expressed in it. When runners count on God, they feel his strength in their lives.

Therefore, we cordially invite you to pray and celebrate with us on the evening before the themarathon gets started. We shall be worshipping God in the company of many runners.

Before the start – and in the midst of life. Find peace, sing, and pray, join with others and bring joy to the starting line.

With: Reverend Katharina Stifel, Father Maximilian Wagner (OFM) and Reverend Peter Burkowski.

Peter Burkowski has been running for more than 40 years, at a young age the middle distance and since 1999 Marathon. He will also be running the BMW Berlin Marathon this year.

Music: Mitch Schlüter & Co.

Where:  Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church – saturday – 8.00p.m. – Breitscheidplatz
