Divas Half Marathon Series Wins Prestigious Award

MIAMI – The Divas Half Marathon® & 5K race series was presented with one of the industry's most prestigious awards, The Sports Travel Best Amateur Sports Series. The award recognizes exceptional sporting events and series both amateur and professional in the United Sates as well as the world. SportsTravel is considered The Sports World's Magazine and it reports and analyzes trends and achievements in all sports throughout the world.

The Divas Half Marathon® & 5K Series is a set of events with stops from Honolulu, Hawaii to San Juan, Puerto Rico, including North Myrtle Beach, SC, Long Island, NY and San Francisco Bay, Calif. The events include a great weekend getaway at great destination locations throughout the United States wonderful for a family vacation or a girls' weekend getaway. 

The weekend includes a 2-day Health & Fitness Boutique as well as a half marathon and 5K which have now become famous for the giveaways including tiaras, boas, roses, champagne toast, and of course being greeted at the finish line by the hunkiest firefighters around. The event series began in Long Island in 2010 and in 2 short years has expanded to 5 events throughout the nation including its international stop in Puerto Rico. There are two new cities that have been added for the 2013 calendar year that will be announced in late 2012, making it the largest national and international women's only half marathon series..
