Copenhagen Sees Brand New World-Class Half Marathon 2015

By GRR 0

Sparta Athletics & Running discontinues the Powerade Copenhagen Half Marathon. In a joint venture with the Danish Athletic Federation we are proud to present a brand new, annual half marathon aiming to be the first designated IAAF Gold Label half marathon in the Nordics.

When the very first edition is held in exactly 11 months, on the 20 September 2015, you can be a part of it too!

Building on both organizers’ previous race successes such as the 2014 IAAF World Half Marathon Championships and the Powerade Copenhagen Half Marathon, Copenhagen now sees a brand new half marathon. Enjoying full endorsement and support from a wide array of partners and municipalities in the Danish Capital, the aim is to take road race events in Denmark to a top-level.

First IAAF Gold Label Half Marathon in the Nordics

The new Copenhagen Half Marathon is expected to become the first IAAF Gold Label half marathon in the Nordics and the sixth throughout Europe.

For you and every other participant, this means that …

… the world’s best elite runners will be lining up
… the course will be extremely fast!
… the race will be adhering to the highest international standards
… all efforts are being put into creating a world-class race

Become part of it!

Whether you already participated in the Powerade Copenhagen Half Marathon or you have yet to discover Copenhagen, our hope is that you – along with thousands of runners and spectators – will take part in kicking off this ambitious race.

We hope we will have the pleasure of welcoming many runners from all corners of the world and show that Copenhagen is a race destination worth a visit.

Race entry for the Copenhagen Half Marathon opens 1 December at cphhalf.com
