Over the coming weekend five AIMS races are run in five different continents. On 28 August the Ruta de las Iglesias 10km, starting in the evening, is held in Quito, Ecuador, on a route lined by flaming torches.
On 29 August the Hokkaido Marathon takes place in the northernmost of Japan's main islands, followed in Africa by the Victoria Falls Marathon in Zimbabwe.
In Europe the Galway City Marathon takes place in the west of Ireland and the SSQ Quebec Marathon is run in Canada.
