A Tour of the Five Boroughs
The ING New York City Marathon is not the only time NYRR takes the show out to all five boroughs of New York. The annual NYRR Half-Marathon Grand Prix Presented by Continental Airlines continues to welcome runners of all abilities to race the popular half-marathon (13.1-mile) distance in each of New York City's scenic five boroughs: Manhattan, the Bronx, Brooklyn, Queens and Staten Island. Every runner who completes at least four of the five races earns a commemorative patch, and those who run all five receive a certificate and a special gift.
Did You Know?
In 2008, there were a total of 20,782 finishers in the series, with 509 runners finishing all five races and another 458 completing four of the five.
