Bolm out for rest of season

European 100m hurdles silver medallist Kirsten Bolm (GER) has had to withdraw from all competitions this season due to a health problem, according to the German athletics federation.

After having a severe infection, after the European Indoor Championships in Birmingham, Bolm started her preparations for the outdoor season very late and was always struggling to recapture her form.
ds for sixth place in the 100m Hurdles. Later she had to withdraw from the German Team for the European Cup Team due to a presumed inflamed heart muscle.

However she will not return to competition for the remainder of the season but will start training again after regaining full health to concentrate on the Beijing Olympics next year.
