2008 Beijing Olympics men's marathon team member Satoshi Osaki (36, Team NTT Nishi Nihon), has announced that he plans to retire following the Mar. 3 Lake Biwa Mainichi Marathon.

Following his retirement from competition he will continue on as a coach with NTT.
