Asafa Powell and Jeremy Wariner – Melbourne Athletics Grand Prix (IAAF WAT) – Melbourne Olympic Park, Melbourne, VIC

The world’s fastest man over 100m, Asafa Powell, and the 2007 world champion over 400m, Jeremy Wariner, will compete in Sydney and Melbourne over the 2008 domestic season.

Powell, who reset his world mark with a 9.74-second dash in Rieti, Italy in September, returns to the city in which he claimed gold at the 2006 Commonwealth Games.

For Wariner, it's his first trip Down Under but, like Powell, has confirmed Australia as an important part of his preparations for the Olympic Games in Beijing.
