On 7 January Siberians will celebrate the season by braving -20C temperatures in the Siberian Ice Half Marathon.

On 8 January the Tiberias Winner Marathon is run halfway around the Sea of Galilee and back.

The Cebu Marathon is held in the Philippines on 11 January.
