93. Kosice Marathon on october 2, 2016 – Brief summary 2 weeks before the start of Europe´s oldest marathon.

–     Kosice Marathon awarded European Fair Play Plaque of Merit  by EOC

–          Matej Toth winner of the 50 km walking race in Rio will show his gold medal to fans in Košice.

–          Elijah Kemboi (2:07:34) –  Kosice Marathon champion from 2011 is preparing for his 3rd start on Europe’s oldest marathon.

–          Ethiopian Mulu Diro will defend her 2015 title in women race.

–          Peter Polak (68) reached 355 000 km milestone in his  training till today. On October 2 will run his 40th Kosice Marathon.

–          Nuit Blanche – the modern art festival full of lights will be enjoyed on the eve of marathon by 12 000  runners and thousands of visitors.
