5th Kiev Marathon/UKR on april 27, 2014.

Dear friends! We inform you that the registration has started today on the fifth Kiev Marathon 2014.

Wholeheartedly understand now what a difficult situation in the country. But there is a pattern: "Can not come something new, without the care of the old. " We sincerely believe that everything will be resolved by April 2014 , and justice will prevail .

We will make an effort for the event, even if we have to change the route , place the start and finish …

This year's marathon was first held in one round, as instituted conducted such activities . For us it is a new goal that will allow to move ahead.

I want to say a special thank you to all the runners , volunteers , organizers and all who participate in our events .

Friends , we wish you good training, begin to train despite the weather conditions. After the winter – that's no reason to deny yourself in the running.

Kyiv City Marathon – 1 х 42,195 km

Friends, you chose the most attractive distance of our  event, a distance which won the hearts of millions of runners in the world.

Probably you overcame a marathon distance repeatedly or will do it for the first time in your life. Kiev marathon will give you an unforgettable atmosphere, positive emotions of a run holiday, a good support and a contest during the whole 42,195 km.

Start and finish of the marathon on the worldwide Independence Square. The route is from the central part of the city to the Dnieper embankment, historical parts of the city. Right and left banks will interlock in one circle.

We will show you Kiev in the way it can be seen only in a marathon…

Kyiv City Marathon-relay – 3 х 10 km + 1 х 12,195 km

 

Create your team to be able to participate in Kiev Relay marathon. Members of your team can be your friends, relatives or colleagues at work… Team consists of four participants, each of the first three ones overcome a 10 km distance, the fourth participant will run 12,195 km and will come to finish. Determine the battle technique in the relay and alternate of switchover beforehand. Your team will have an opportunity to compete with other teams.

Kiev Relay marathon is also a great corporate tool for your business. In sport is like in business, you have to set a goal and to achieve it with the help of team’s successful work. Create a corporate culture today! Remember that people who work with you are your main capital. Be successful, take responsibility, trust and push the matter through.

Kiev team marathon is an advanced variant of a relay and a marathon, two-in-one. A team consists of 4 people, each member of a team must overcome the whole distance 42,195 km. It is a real challenge not only for yourself but also a responsibility for those who will run in your team.

All members of a team will receive their personal results at the finish with the help of these results will be counted the total team result. Your team will be shown in the total rating of other teams.

So, 42,195 km is before you. Whom would you like to pass this test with?

History of the Kiev City Marathon

Preparing for International marathon start in Kiev began in 2009.

The first Kiev marathon took place on the 16th of October, 2010. At that time there were 546 participants from 13 countries on the first run, among them 144 runners participated in a 42,195 m classical marathon.

In 2011 the second Kiev marathon gathered more than 1000 participants from 33 countries, 315 sportsmen covered the marathon distance. 1336 participants from 28 countries participated in the third Kiev marathon which was held on the 6th of May, 2012, 250 sportsmen went on the marathon distance.

1693 participants from 33 countries took part in the fourth Kiev marathon 2013. 451 sportsmen went out to cover a marathon distance.
