40th Year Celebration BMO Vancouver Marathon. Here We Go! The sun is shinning, your bibs are ready and we are now officially open for 2011 BMO Vancouver Marathon.
The 40th BMO Vancouver Marathon will take place on Sunday, May 1, 2011. With over 15,000 participants we encourage all participants, volunteers, & spectators to use transit services, carpooling, walking or riding to access the start/finish and expo venue at Concord Place on event day if possible.
Package Pickup
Package Pickup is located at the Brita Sports Expo. Please bring your registration confirmation and a piece of picture ID to receive your race package. Your race package will contain your race number, timing chip, and shirt.
Your race bib # will also be printed on the email confirmation you receive after you have registered.
PLEASE NOTE: BIB NUMBERS ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE WITHOUT NOTICE.

*If you are picking up your package on Saturday, please note due to the Canucks game, parking is limited. We recommend public transit.

Transit Access – Event Day: Sunday, May 1 2011
The 40th BMO Vancouver Marathon will take place on Sunday, May 1, 2011. With over 15,000 participants we encourage all participants, volunteers, & spectators to use transit services, carpooling, walking or riding to access the start/finish and expo venue at Concord Place on event day if possible.
The Vancouver International Marathon Society would like to thank Translink for their continued generous support to provide early SkyTrain services on race day to provide participants, volunteers, and spectators with options. Without community partnerships like this it would not be possible.

2011-4-20 Bulletin – Transit Services Access
- SkyTrain will start nearly 90 minutes earlier on the Expo and Millennium Lines, with the first train leaving King George Station at 5:40am and the first train leaving from Lougheed Town Centre at 5:45am.
- Trains will run at their usual Sunday morning frequency: 8 minutes apart on the single lines and 4 minutes apart on the combined line (Columbia-Waterfront).
- Canada Line will begin at its usual time of 5:05am from Richmond-Brighouse Station.
- Coast Mountain Bus Co. will detour a number of buses away from the race route between 6am and 1pm. The routes involved are the #3, #4, #6, #7, #8, #17, #19, #22, #50 and #84. Signs will be posted at the bus stops affected by the changes.
- West Vancouver Transit will detour off Georgia onto Pender in both directions.
- All other services will start at their usual times.

Please join us on Saturday, April 30th at the historic Stanley Park Pavilion for brunch in celebration of the 40th year of the BMO Vancouver Marathon. The brunch will be MC’d by well-known announcer Steve King, and together with marathon alumni, sponsors, volunteers and other special guests, we will reflect on the past 40 years of this iconic Vancouver event.
