Ruy Ueda was the top Japanese finisher in the men’s race, fading from 7th to 15th over the third quarter of the race but rallying to end up 12th in 4:34:45. Suzuha Kusuda was the only Japanese woman in the race, holding steady around 60th the entire way and finishing 62nd in 6:11:30.
