2014 Bank of America Chicago Marathon – Registration opens today at noon Central Time at chicagomarathon.com.

Registration is now open for the 2014 Bank of America Chicago Marathon. Those interested in registering for the 2014 event will be able to:

1) Register with a guaranteed entry

2) Enter the registration lottery. The registration lottery entry period will close on Monday, April 7, at 12 p.m. U.S. Central Time.

The fee to register for the 2014 event is USD $185 for U.S. residents or USD $210 for those residing outside of the U.S. The field will be capped at a maximum of 45,000 participants.

Guaranteed entry registration

Qualified participants can be accepted into the event by choosing to take advantage of one of the guaranteed entry registration options into the 2014 Bank of America Chicago Marathon.

Run and fundraise for a charity
Those who opt to run and fundraise for any of the charities that are part of the Official Charity Program. Click here for more information.

Chicago Marathon legacy finisher
Those who have finished the Chicago Marathon five or more times within the last 10 years (2004 – 2013). Click here for more information.

Time qualifier
Men who have run a verifiable sub 3:15:00 marathon and women who have run a verifiable sub 3:45:00 marathon on or after January 1, 2012. Click here for more information.

Wheelchair athletes
Athletes with disabilities wishing to compete in the wheelchair (push-rim) division should email awdprogram@chicagomarathon.com to inquire about 2014 Bank of America Chicago Marathon registration.

Lottery registration

Interested participants can enter the 2014 Bank of America Chicago Marathon registration lottery at any time during the registration lottery entry period, Wednesday March 19, through April 7, 12 p.m. U.S. Central Time.

After the April 7 (12 p.m. U.S. Central Time) deadline, participant names will be selected at random from the full pool of lottery entrants to complete the remaining spots in 2014 Bank of America Chicago Marathon. Lottery entrants will be notified of their selection status on Monday, April 14. Prior to selection, duplicate entries will be removed and therefore will not increase one’s chances of selection.

Event entry requirements

• Participants must be 16 years or older on race day, October 12, to enter the 2014 Bank of America Chicago Marathon. Participants 16-17 years of age must have a statement signed by their parent or legal guardian permitting them to participate in the race.
• The 2014 Bank of America Chicago Marathon has a maximum net race day finish time of six hours and 30 minutes (6:30:59). The Marathon course will reopen for public use on a rolling schedule based on this time limit.
• The sale and/or transfer of race entries/bib numbers is strictly prohibited.
• All registration fees and ancillary purchases are nonrefundable.
• All participants are required to show a government-issued photo ID upon picking up their own participant packet (bib number and timing device) at the Bank of America Chicago Marathon Health & Fitness Expo during the scheduled hours of operation.
• All participants must be familiar with and abide by the event rules.
