12. IAAF Championships in Athletics BERLIN 2009 – BOC 2009 GmbH Names its Press Representative

The BOC 2009 GmbH – the Organising Committee for the 12th IAAF World Championships in Athletics berlin 2009™ – has named Stefan Thies as its press officer.

The 50-year-old manager of the company, mixedzone GmbH, in Hamburg has already been active in the successful bidding phase for the former committee and has been assigned to various PR and promotional duties since the founding of the BOC 2009.

Thies gained his journalistic experience as editor and office manager of the Sports Information Service (sid) in Munich. Until his self-employment, he was the spokesman for the former Ufa Film- und Fernseh-GmbH in Hamburg, then already Europe’s leading sports marketing agency, from which Sportfive GmbH emerged.
