Hallen-EM in Istanbul 2023: Jakob Ingebrigtsen gewinnt zweites Gold

Jakob Ingebrigtsen hat zum zweiten Mal in Folge bei den Hallen-Europameisterschaften der Leichtathleten zwei Goldmedaillen gewonnen: Der Norweger triumphierte bei den Titelkämpfen in Istanbul zwei Tage nach seinem 1.500-m-Sieg auch im 3.000-m-Finale.

In einem schnellen Rennen übernahm er am Schlusstag der Titelkämpfe kurz nach der 1000-m-Marke die Spitze und gab sie nicht mehr ab. Jakob Ingebrigtsen lief als Sieger schließlich nach 7:40,32 Minuten ins Ziel und stellte damit einen norwegischen Rekord auf. Hinter dem 1.500-m-Olympiasieger wurde der Spanier Adel Mechaal mit 7:41,75 Zweiter während der Serbe Elzan Bibic in 7:44,03 Minuten die Bronzemedaille gewann. Sam Parsons (SCC Berlin) belegte Rang sieben in 7:48,01. „Es hat sich ein bisschen so angefühlt als würde ich gegen mich selbst laufen“, sagte Jakob Ingebrigtsen, der bei der WM im vergangenen Sommer über 5.000 m Gold gewonnen hatte.

Ihrer Favoritenrolle ebenso souverän gerecht wurde im 800-m-Finale die Britin Keely Hodgkinson. Die Europameisterin von München 2022 gewann in starken 1:58,66 Minuten den Titel und war deutlich vor Anita Horvat (Serbien/2:00,54) sowie Agnes Raharolahy (Frankreich/2:00,85) im Ziel. Majtie Kolberg (LG Kreis Ahrweiler) hatte sich knapp für das Finale qualifiziert und belegte dann Rang acht mit 2:03,65. Bei den Männern ging der 800-m-Hallen-Titel an den Spanier Ben Adrian, der ganz knapp in 1:47,34 Minuten vor dem zeitgleichen Franzosen Benjamin Robert gewann. Dritter wurde hier Eliott Crestan (Belgien) mit 1:47,65.

Auch im 1.500-m-Finale der Frauen, das am Abend zuvor stattfand, setzte sich die Favoritin durch: Laura Muir (Großbritannien) gewann zum dritten Mal in Folge diese Goldmedaille bei der Hallen-EM. Die Schottin siegte in 4:03,40 Minuten vor Claudia Bobocea (Rumänien/4:03,76) und Sofia Ennaoui (Polen/4:04,06).
