FLASH: WM-Aktuell: Gesa Felicitas Krause gewinnt sensationell Bronze über 3000 Meter Hindernis

FLASH: Gesa Felicitas Krause hat sensationell die Bronzemedaille über 3.000 m Hindernis bei den Leichtathletik-Weltmeisterschaften in Peking gewonnen.

Die 23-Jährige lief in China das beste Rennen ihrer Karriere und stellte mit 9:19,25 Minuten eine persönliche Bestzeit auf.

Nach dem letzten Hindernis lag Gesa Felicitas Krause, die für Eintracht Frankfurt startet und von Wolfgang Heinig betreut wird, auf der Zielgeraden sogar kurzzeitig in Führung.

Doch auf den letzten 25 Metern lief Hyvin Jepkemoi (Kenia) vorbei und gewann in 9:19,11.

Unmittelbar vor dem Ziel schob sich dann noch Habiba Ghribi (Tunesien) an Krause vorbei auf den Silberrang. Sie hatte mit 9:19,24 am Ende nur eine Hundertstelsekunde Vorsprung vor der Deutschen.

Gesa Felicitas Krause war in Peking die einzige deutsche Frau, die über eine Langstrecke an den Start ging.
