FLASH: Homiyu Tesfaye läuft in Doha EM-Norm

FLASH: Homiyu Tesfaye (Frankfurt) klonnte isch beim Diamond-League Meeting in Doha über 1.500 Meter auf 3:33,33 Minuten stgeigern. Damit schaffte Tesfaye die Norm für die EM in Zürich. Asbel Kiprop (KEN) gewann in 3:29,70 min.

Tesfaye lief als Elfter ins Ziel – zwei Sekunden fehlen noch zum deutschen Rekord von Thomas Wessinghage (USC Mainz) von 3:31,58 min.

In Doha, Mercy Cherono, Faith Kipyegon, Viola Kibiwot, Almaz Ayana and 
Irene Jelagat became 42nd, 43rd, 44th, 45th and 46th, respectively, 
to crack 8:30 for 3000
