At 19.00 on Saturday 30 August at the Ruta de las Iglesias 10km is run in the streets of the Ecuadorean capital, Quito, past the torchlit facades of the city´s main churches.
Next day the Hokkaido Marathon takes place on Japan´s northernmost island.
