Boston Marathon - Start - Veranstalter
Anmeldung zum Boston-Marathon 2022 ist jetzt möglich.
Letzte Woche gab die Boston Athletic Association (B.A.A.) bekannt, dass die Teilnehmerzahl für den 126. Boston Marathon auf 30.000 festgelegt wurde. Alle Athleten müssen vollständig geimpft sein, um an dem Rennen teilnehmen zu können.
„Da wir zum ersten Mal seit 2019 zum traditionellen Datum des Patriots‘ Day zurückkehren und so vielen Athleten wie möglich eine sichere Teilnahme ermöglichen wollen, wissen wir, dass ein vollständig geimpftes Teilnehmerfeld die angemessene Voraussetzung ist“, sagte Tom Grilk, Präsident und Chief Executive Officer der B.A.A.
„Wir hatten eine 93-prozentige Impfrate unter den Teilnehmern des 125. Boston-Marathons und wollen unseren Teil dazu beitragen, die Ausbreitung von COVID-19 bei unserer Rückkehr zum Rennen weiter einzudämmen.“
Die Teilnehmer müssen vor ihrer Teilnahme am Rennen am 18. April 2022 einen Impfnachweis erbringen. Um als vollständig geimpft zu gelten, müssen die Teilnehmer vor der Abholung der Startnummern (Freitag, 15. April) eine Impfserie mit einem von der Weltgesundheitsorganisation World Health Organization-certified vaccine zertifizierten Impfstoff abgeschlossen haben. Angemeldete Athleten, die keinen Impfnachweis erbringen können, werden nicht zum Rennen zugelassen. Anmeldungen werden nicht zurückgestellt, zurückerstattet oder auf ein späteres Rennen übertragen. Anträge auf eine medizinische Ausnahmegenehmigung werden individuell geprüft.
Die Anmeldung für den Boston-Marathon 2022 läuft über fünf Tage, beginnt am Montag, den 8. November um 10:00 Uhr ET und endet am 12. November 2021 um 17:00 Uhr ET. Die B.A.A. wird das gleiche Anmeldeverfahren für qualifizierte Läufer anwenden wie für das Rennen 2021. Jeder Athlet, der eine gültige Boston-Marathon-Qualifikationszeit erreicht hat, kann sich zwischen dem 8. und 12. November 2021 über die Online-Plattform der B.A.A., Athletes‘ Village Athletes‘ Village, anmelden. Die Anmeldung erfolgt nicht in der Reihenfolge des Eingangs, sondern bis Freitag, den 12. November um 17:00 Uhr ET. Das Qualifikationsfenster begann am 1. September 2019 und endet am Freitag, den 12. November um 17:00 Uhr ET.
Die Qualifikationsnormen für den 126. Boston Marathon finden Sie here . Qualifikanten können jederzeit während des Anmeldezeitraums eine Bewerbung einreichen. Das Erreichen der Qualifikationsnorm ist aufgrund der begrenzten Teilnehmerzahl keine Garantie für die Teilnahme am Boston Marathon. Diejenigen, die in ihrer Alters- und Geschlechtsgruppe die schnellsten Bewerber sind, werden zugelassen.
Die Startgebühr für Qualifikanten beträgt weiterhin 205 US-Dollar für Einwohner der Vereinigten Staaten und 255 US-Dollar für internationale Einwohner. Das zweite Jahr in Folge haben die Teilnehmer die Möglichkeit, bei der Anmeldung eine Versicherung registration insurance abzuschließen.
Das Qualifikationsfenster für den 127. Boston Marathon, der am 17. April 2023 stattfinden wird, begann am 1. September 2021. Einzelheiten zur Anmeldung für diesen Lauf werden nach dem Boston-Marathon 2022 bekannt gegeben.

Anmeldung für den Boston-Marathon
- Registration for the 126th Boston Marathon opened on Monday, November 8 at 10 a.m. ET and will remain open through Friday, November 12 at 5 p.m. ET.
- Registration takes place entirely within the B.A.A.’s online platform, Athletes’ Village. The registration application can be found on your Athletes‘ Village profile home page.
- All applications and qualifying times submitted between November 8-12 will be verified and ranked by the B.A.A. based on the amount of time an athlete has run under their respective qualifying standard.
- Registration from November 8-12 is not first-come, first-served.
- Applicants will be notified of acceptance or non-acceptance in early December once the B.A.A. has verified all qualifying times and applications.

- Entry fees for the 126th Boston Marathon for qualifiers is $205.00 USD for United States residents and $255.00 USD for international residents.
- Participants have the opportunity to purchase registration insurance at the point of registration. Participants who elected to purchase registration insurance, offered by RegShield, will be able to have entry fees refunded for multiple reasons including loss of job, pregnancy, illness, and injury. Refunds may only be eligible for those who purchase the insurance policy at the point of registration.
- Entries in the Boston Marathon cannot be transferred, deferred to a future year, and only those who elect to purchase registration insurance may be eligible for refunds.
- All athletes must be fully vaccinated in order to participate in the 126th Boston Marathon.
- Proof of Vaccination: Participants will need to provide proof of vaccination prior to participating in the April 18, 2022 race. More information on how to provide proof of vaccination will be communicated directly to all officially registered athletes prior to April’s race weekend. Any registered athlete who cannot provide proof of vaccination will not be allowed to participate in the race. Entries will not be deferred, refunded, or transferred to a future race.
- Medical Exemptions: Officially registered athletes will receive an email on how to request a medical exemption. All requests will be reviewed individually. Athletes who are not granted an exemption will be refunded their entry fee.
- 2021 RESULTS: We are still in the process of adjudicating 2021 Boston Marathon results, and are actively receiving results from recently held races. Please complete the entire registration form to assist us in verifying your race result. If we have any additional questions, a member of our Athlete Services team will reach out to you. Please do not send additional qualifying time information unless requested to do so by our team.
