The organisers of the Berlin 2018 European Athletics Championships have announced that 150,000 tickets have now been sold for the European Athletics Championships.

Berlin 2018 will take place between 7-12 August as part of the first multi-sport European Championships happening between 2-12 August with co-hosts Glasgow hosting six sports.

Tickets can be purchased online here.

„This is the second important step after the 100,000 mark. We are very satisfied with that, which has never been seen six months before the start of a European Athletics Championship,“ said Frank Kowalski, Managing Director of the European Athletics Championship.

„With 48 disciplines over the six-day event, the European Championships confirm their incomparable diversity. As part of the European Championships, with a total of seven different sports, we can confidently talk about a sports festival in both Berlin and Glasgow.

The organisers of Berlin 2018 have also launched their event motto: “THE SPORTING FESTIVAL” which is being accompanied by a campaign featuring Robert Harting and Carolin Schaefer. The “FESTIVAL-Ticket” can also be purchased for 25 euros.

Of the 150,000 tickets sold so far, more than 30 percent were sold to spectators from abroad with orders from 46 countries. „The target is about 350,000 spectators,“ added Kowalski.
