2009 PARIS HALF-MARATHON: ENTRIES OPEN
The organisers of the Paris Half-Marathon this morning officially launched entries for the 17th edition, which will take place on the 8th March 2009. The first major race of the spring will once again take runners through the streets of Eastern Paris, starting and finishing at the magnificent Château de Vincennes.
With an estimated 25 000 runners participating, the half-marathon is ranked second in French road races, after the Paris marathon. Like last year, an immense majority of entries, around 90% in total, will be registered on-line. Over the years, the web site has established itself as the fastest, the easiest and the most reliable way of reserving a bib number. For your information, entries for the 2008 edition were closed in January.
In order to facilitate registration procedures and accompany participants right up to the big day, the Half-Marathon internet site has been completely restructured. This vital communication tool will progressively be enriched with new pages: practical information concerning the week-end of the event, links to partner sites (transport, accommodation, tourism…), useful information on preparation and sections permitting interactivity between runners…
