EXPO INFO
SEGAS the Greek Athletics Federation organizes for the third time this year the ATHENS CLASSIC MARATHON EXPO 2009 and Energy Events company has the rights to operate the Athens Classic Marathon Expo 2009 – on behalf SEGAS – where all exhibitors could address their questions and Reservation Forms. The EXPO will take place at Zappeion EXPO Centre at 6 and 7 November 2009.

Please do not forget that questions about the registration and distribution centre of the runners are sent at info@athensclassicmarathon.gr.

We attach along this info letter, a) the official Guide for the Exhibitors, b) a file with general information for the Visitors of the EXPO.
Companies from running, sports, fitness, health and tourism industries will exhibit and promote their products and services to the whole Greek running community (about 20.000 visitors) and to 7.000 international runners and visitors.

ATHENS CLASSIC MARATHON EVENT INFO

The Marathon Race is the most touching event of Athletics. History starts back to 490 b.c. when the Athenian soldier-runner Fidippides, run from Marathon place to Athens City to bring the victorious message of the Athenian army over the Persian army. At 2010 the world will celebrate the 2.500 years anniversary from the greatest battle of all times. Nowadays, the Athens Classic Marathon is under the auspices of the international Federations of AIMS and IAAF, and that gives to the event a place among the top Marathons of the world. 

The Athens Classic Marathon has become a major international sport tourist event, with more than 10.000 participants. This authentic marathon course starts from Marathon Town and finishes to Athens City, two global culture symbols of humanity.
