\“Hop across the Elbe\“ – Marathon EXPO Hamburg at Schuppen 52

On 23 and 24 April 2010 the sporting goods expo for running and wellness – official event of the Möbel Kraft Marathon Hamburg – presents itself with a new concept as Marathon Expo Hamburg at Schuppen 52.

With the "Hop across the Elbe", the exhibition follows the guiding principle of the city of Hamburg which – after the port city – is planning now the second urban expansion on the south side of the Elbe, to face the international competition between metropolises.

"We have decided to follow entirely new ways in the 25th-anniversary marathon and thus to go ahead with the leading project of the Hanseatic city", organizer Martin Greve explains the innovation.

The Schuppen 52 is located in the Australiastraße 52a and is the largest event location in the harbor. "On an area of 3,500 square meters around 100 renowned exhibitors of the sporting goods industry presenting the top brands of running shoes, innovative sportswear, training equipment and everything you could wish for a runner's heart", Greve continues. The Hamburg Marathon Expo is opend on Friday 23 April and Saturday 24 April 2009, both from 9.00 a.m. to 8.00 p.m.. "We are expecting over 35,000 visitors and sports fans to get there some useful training and nutrition tips from marathon runners and running experts and professionals."

For the participants of the Möbel Kraft Marathon Hamburg – except the new venue – everything remains as usual. In the Schuppen 52, the runners will receive their accreditation, as well as the race documents. A free shuttle bus service for participants and guests from the city makes for an easy transfer to the free port.

The incomparable setting of the listed storehouse combined with a gorgeous view over the Elbe on the urban panorama – no more of Hamburg is possible", says Greve about the new location.

With the new concept the Marathon Expo Hamburg joins the international character of the Möbel Kraft Marathon Hamburg 2010 and underlines the cosmopolitanism of the Hanseatic city.
