Ragnar Relay Announces Sold Out Arizona Race 350 Ragnar Relay Del Sol teams to traverse 204 scenic miles from Prescott to Tempe, Ariz.
Ragnar Relay Del Sol, now in its fourth year, is the longest of the series at 204 scenic miles. The Relay will start the morning of Friday, February 26, 2010 in Prescott, Ariz. and wraps up the following afternoon in Tempe, Ariz. This year’s finish line will be in the “District” of the Tempe Market Place.
“Our Del Sol race has had consistent year over year growth since 2007. It is exciting to have a sell out in just four years,” said Janessa Black, Del Sol Race Director.
“It is our longest relay, but the scenery is amazing. You really can’t beat the red rocks of the Arizona desert and the new finish line location at the Tempe Market Place is going to be a great addition as well. We encourage everyone, even if you are not running, to come out and have a great time,” Black added.
Race registration for Del Sol 2011 will open the week following the race. All current teams will have first priority to register. With 56 percent registration growth in 2010, teams for 2011 are expected to sell out quickly.
