Hamburger Sparkasse is the new title sponsor of the Marathon Hamburg – Haspa Marathon Hamburg on May 22nd, 2011

With the Hamburger Sparkasse a traditional Hamburg company gives it's name for the next three years as the new title sponsor of the marathon: Haspa Marathon Hamburg 2011

The promoter and marketer, ACT AGENCY GmbH, has succeeded to win the Hamburger Sparkasse as new title sponsor for one of the world's most prestigious marathons. For the next three years the Haspa takes the right of the title sponsoring of the largest and oldest sporting event in the Hanseatic city.   

The start of the 26th Edition of the Marathon Hamburg will be on 22 May 2011. The abandonment of the traditional date of late April was necessary because of Easter and that the Heiligengeistfeld is not available as event center. Also the following weekends (May 1, Hamburg port birthday and the planned Euro Vision Song Contest) do not allow the parallel implementation of Hamburg's most traditional sport event.

The homepage of the Marathon is currently revised. The relaunch will be in time for registration beginning in early September.
