Bo-Classic – Record Holder Lebid to challenge Soi

Bozen/Bolzano's audience may look forward to see Serhiy Lebid again. the 35-year-old Ukrainian two days ago won his ninth cross-EC-title.

The darling of the public is the one and only European who has won the BOclassic since 1990. Thanks to his successes in 1999 and from 2001 to 2004, Lebid is record holder. In 2001, he was also a WCCC silver medallist. During this year's EC in Barcelona over 5000 m he finished fourth and thus just missed a medal.

Lebid is specialist for winter races and is thus the first challenger of Edwin Soi, BOclassic winner of the past three years. Andrea Lalli, Italian's upcoming runner, will again participate.

The 23-year-old finished sixth in last Sunday's ECCC. Surely, further stars will turn up in the 36th edition.
