Triple Australian Athletics Championships gold medallist Sally Pearson has in recent weeks been named as a finalist for the 2011 Cosmopolitan Fun, Fearless Female Awards.

Rising to fame by winning a silver medal in the women’s 100m hurdles at the 2008 Beijing Olympics, Sally has since been a 100m hurdles finalist at the 2009 Berlin world championships and a Commonwealth Games gold medallist.
Sally was unbeaten on Australian soil across the Australian Athletics Tour and National Championships winning every one of her 23 starts. She won three gold medals (100m, 200m, 100m hurdles) at the 2011 Australian Athletics Championships only two weeks ago before being named the Athletics Australia Female Athlete of the Year.
This year, Sally will once again head to Europe where without question she will challenge for the 100m hurdles crown of the Diamond League series.
Her year will culminate at the 2011 IAAF world championships in Daegu (KOR), with the bubbly Queenslander selected to compete in the women’s 100m and 100m hurdles.
