2011 AJC Peachtree Road Race -11Alive Named Official Television Partner

NBC affiliate, 11Alive (WXIA), has been named the official television partner of the 2011 AJC Peachtree Road Race by event organizer, the Atlanta Track Club. As the official television partner of the AJC Peachtree Road Race, 11Alive will air live coverage of the 2011 AJC Peachtree Road Race from 7 a.m. to 8 a.m. on Monday, July 4. 11Alive will also air a Peachtree special the evening of July 4 that will feature a recap of the race as well as participant stories.

“We are thrilled to have 11Alive on board as the official television partner of this year’s event,” said Tracey Russell, Race Director for the AJC Peachtree Road Race and Executive Director of the Atlanta Track Club. “11Alive’s Peachtree coverage will capture great race moments for event participants while inspiring viewers at home to become part of this wonderful Atlanta Fourth of July tradition in future years.”

2011 will mark the first year that 11Alive has partnered with the AJC Peachtree Road Race and the Atlanta Track Club to provide coverage of the event.

This year’s Peachtree will feature the largest field in the event’s history with 60,000 participants. The Fourth of July festivities will kick off with the Peachtree Health and Fitness Expo on Saturday, July 2 and Sunday, July 3 at the AmericasMart.
