Run Britain – News – One week to Bristol
Here at runbritain we are eagerly anticipating next week's Bristol 10k, which is the second race in the runbritain Grand Prix. The Reading Half Marathon was the first in the series so there are now 250 men and 250 women on the score board with points ranging from Dave Webb's 350 points (250 for winning and 100 for breaking 65 minutes) to John Thorpe and Jennifer Mussett, who both have one point for finishing 250th man and 250th woman respectively.
Runners who have confirmed their entry and are already on the score board include Dan Robinson (249 points), Phil Wicks (248 points) and Nick Swinburn (238 points).
Although entries are now closed the organisers have kept places available for those who scored points at Reading. If you are already on the score board and would like to enter please email bristol@frsystems.co.uk without delay.
Have you already got an entry? Can you get yourself onto the scoreboard? Are you male and looking for a sub 40 clocking or female looking to go under 50 minutes?
In 2010 250th male finisher was Ross Bradley in 39:40 so if you're looking to break 40 minutes you may well find yourself on the score board. 250th woman was Caroline Herbert in 48:48.
So with one week to go, it's time to start thinking about easing down on your training a tad and making sure you arrive on the start line fresh and raring to go! Good luck!!
