1.) Haspa Marathon Hamburg goes Web 2.0 – New: marathon live service to go

In 2011, the Haspa Marathon Hamburg goes new ways and sets new standards in service for runners and visitors: in addition to the mobile confirmation process for the Haspa Marathon Hamburg the live mobile services will be enabled on Saturday, 7th May 2011.

On https://m.marathon-hamburg.de all owners of a mobile phone with Internet access can view this site for free and benefit from many options. Thus not only the marathon site can be viewed at any time and everywhere,  the mobile application also offers much more: the new service includes for example the complete exhibitor list of the Marathon EXPO Hamburg and offers extensive range of information on the marathon course e.g. information on the various refreshment stations including map cutouts and projections to the arrival times of the elite.

Unique is the Live-Leaderboard, with which the Elite race can be followed at any time. After the event all results can also be viewed.

2.) phönikks participating with 128 runners collecting donations

The phönikks charitabel trust, a charity partner of Haspa Marathon Hamburg, has completed the registration process for participation in the charity run for children with cancer.

On marathon day a total of 128 voluntary runners collecting donations for phönikks will be on the course. Armed with collection buckets and colorful jerseys, the runners will passionately ask spectators for donations.

For over 20 years, phönikks organizes a charity run within the Hamburg Marathon. The donations will be use for the psychotherapeutic treatment of cancer affected children and their families.

The help is free for those affected – phönikks funds itself solely from donations.
