EUGENE – Allyson Felix left no question that she is the most versatile sprinter the U.S. has ever seen. Felix won her first national title in the 400 meters making her the first woman ever to complete the hat trick of winning U.S. titles in the 100, 200, and 400.

Felix's performance highlighted Saturday's competition that also included a breakthrough performance from Tony McQuay in the 400m and David Oliver's third national title in the110m hurdles at the 2011 USA Track & Field Championships.

2:45 p.m. — Oliver powers to defense of his U.S. 110H title

More workmanlike than wowing, defending champion David Oliver ran a steady race to claim his second straight and third overall national 110H championship with a 13.04. 2004 World Junior champion and 2009 World Championships team member Aries Merritt was second at 13.12. Third place went to 2003 World Youth double gold medalist Jason Richardson, who matched his 13.15 PR to claim his first-ever senior international team spot.

2:25 p.m. — McQuay steals the show in the Men's 400m
Running the two fastest times of his life in two days, Florida Gator Tony McQuay won his first U.S. title and earned a spot on the world team. Clocking a U.S. leading time of 44.68 and the second fastest time in the world this year.Jeremy Wariner and Greg Nixon both crossed the line in a photo finish. Both recorded a time of 44.98, with Wariner taking second by seven thousandths of a second over Nixon. All three have the "A" standard for the world championships team.

2:20 p.m. — Felix fends off Francena for 400 crown
A battle between the early pacemaker and the furious closer went to Allyson Felix, who ran a rapid first 200 and held off fast-closing Francena McCorory over the final 50 meters to win the women's 400 in 50.40.

McCorory, the American indoor record holder, finished in 50.49, with Debbie Dunn rounding out the team for Daegu with a 50.70 in third. Texas A&M's Jessica Beard, the NCAA champion, was fourth at 51.06.
