Awards & Elites – All Waterfront events, including 5K as well as Marathon and Half Marathon finishers will receive a finishers' medal!

The marathon version is shiny gold, 2.5 inches in diameter, 7mm thick, and heavy! The Half marathon is 2", and made with an antique silver finish.

The 5k version, also 2" in diameter, has an antique bronze finish. The medals hang from a state-of-the-art, heat-transfer ribbon, that's both dynamic and comfortable.

Course & Canadian All comers record [sub 2:07:58] = additional C$25,000.
IF new time is sub 2:07:30, add an additional C$10,000 for a C$35,000 prize.

Canadian National Records (Canadian Citizens Only)

  • MEN: C$1,000 for every year that Jerome Drayton's 2:10:09 record has stood [Fukuoka 1975]. Thus, for STWM2012, the bonus will be C$37,000. (Note: IF record falls before October 14, 2012, then Bonus for a new record will be $25,000).
  • WOMEN: C$1,000 for every year that Silvia Ruegger's 2:28:36 record has stood [Houston 1985]. Thus, for STWM2012, the bonus will be C$27,000.

Note: the athletes who win Overall prize money (international-class and/or Canadian bonuses-national-class) in the Marathon will be excluded from the Whitlock Trophy and Ruegger Trophy competitions, making them truly a recognition of top regional (Ontario) runners.

Awards Pickup

Don't just win your prize, claim it! Participants have 30 days to claim any prizes.

All prize cheques will be mailed out within 60 days of the event.

NEW CRS Awards Policy

Results will be reviewed for one week following the event. During this seven days athletes are able to lodge a formal, written protest to the race director for review. After the week, results will be finalized and prizing cheques issued. Prize cheques will no longer be distributed on event day; letters of congratulations will be issued day of race.

All Masters Overall & Masters/Open age category prizing can be picked up in the awards tent beside the main stage at Nathan Phillips Square.

Awards can be picked up after the event at Canada Running Series, 264 The Esplanade, Toronto. Please email us to let us know when you plan to pick up your award: awards@canadarunningseries.com. Awards will not be mailed out after the event.
