Mankato Marathon Needs Volunteers
MANKATO, Minn. – Nearly 1,000 volunteers are needed this year for the 2012 Mankato Marathon to make the weekend run smoothly for our runners. There are many ways to volunteer including course marshal, bicycle medical support and race bag stuffing.
We are looking for help in the following areas:
Saturday, October 20:
Expo Load In (6 am – 11 am) *Now up at MSU
Expo Load Out (8 pm – 11 pm) *Now up at MSU
Packet Pick-up (11:30 am – 4:30 pm & 4 pm – 8:30 pm) *Now up at MSU
KidsK Fun Run (3:30 pm – 6 pm) *Now up at MSU
5K Course Marshalling (4:30 pm – 7 pm) *Now up at MSU
Sunday, October 21:
Bag Drop Off (5:45 am – 9 am & 5:45 am – 1 pm)
Busses (5:45 am – 8:30 am)
Registration/Packet Pick-up (5:40 am – 7:45 am)
Start Line (6 am – 8:15 am)
Finish Line (7 am – 11 am & 10:30 am – 2:30 pm)
Course Marshal (varies depending on where you course marshal anywhere between 7:45

The Mankato Marathon races take place on the weekend of October 20 and 21, 2012. Projected third year attendance is 5,000 runners.

About The 2012 Mankato Marathon:
On October 20-21, 2012 the Greater Mankato Convention & Visitors Bureau and Final Stretch will host the third annual Mankato Marathon. This accredited race is a qualifying event for the prestigious Boston Marathon, and is projected to have a third year attendance of 5,000 runners. The event will continually grow to have significant economic impact in the community and already has incredible local sponsorship, with Mayo Clinic Health System leading a long list of area businesses. There are many ways to get involved as a business, runner, volunteer or spectator.
