Lidingöloppet – the world's largest crosscountry race, with classes for everyone from juniors to veterans and distances from 4 to 30 km.

The most famous of all our races in Lidingöloppet is without a doubt the 30 km race. The course is hilly and crosses throu the beautiful surroundings on the island of Lidingö.

Lidingöloppet 30 km is a physical challenge. To be able to run(or jog) the tuff hilly course the participants has to be in good shape, have stamina, and perhaps also alot of willpower .

Lidingöloppet 30 km is a race with strong Swedish traditions and since 1971, a part of the completion A Swedish Classic (read more about A Swedish Classic on the official homepage »).

For those who want to try half the distance of 15 km, we have the class MK15 for men and women. It starts in the same place as the 30 km, you'll run on the same course but half the distance. This is not a competition class but time is recorded and you can seed yourself to a startgroup when you enter the race.

We also have junior and veteran classes.

Junior Classes
P17 and P19 are for boys born 1994 and later.
F17 and F19 are for girls born 1994 and later.
All these classes are 10 km.

Mens classes
M22 is for men born 1989 and later, and the course is 15 km.
M50 is for men born 1961 and earlier and the course is 15 km.
M60 is for men born 1951 or earlier, and the course is 10 km.
M70 is for men born 1941 and earlier, the course is 10 km.
M80 is fo men born 1931 and earlier and the course is 4 km long.

Womens classes
K22 is a race for women born 1989 and later.
K50 is a race for women born 1961 and earlier.
K60 is a race for women born 1951 and earlier.
K70 is a race for women born 1941 and earlier.
All these classes are 10 km.

Drinks stations

Drinks(and snacks) Stations are situated as follows in the 30 km race:

The start area, Koltorp: Energy drinks and water.
5,5 km: Energy drinks and water.
9,5 km: Energy drinks and water.
15 km: Energy drinks, water,  plain bun, banana and pickled gherkin.
20,1 km: Energy drinks, water,  plain bun, banana and pickled gherkin.
23,7 km: Energy drinks, water, blueberry soup, coffe, coca cola, plain bun, banana and pickled gherkin.
27 km : Energy drinks and water.

After the finish: Energy drinks, water, blueberry soup, coffe, plain bun, banana, energy bar and pickled gherkin.

Drinks Stations for 15 km are situated as  follows:
The start area
5 km
11 km
After the finish line.

Drinks Stations for 10 km are situated as follows:
3,5, km
7 km
After the finish line.

Start group and seeding

Competitors are seeded according to results from the previous year, or a running time related to presented results from other competitions no more than 2 years old.
When entering the race, specify a previous result, either from Lidingöloppet or a competition result no more than 2 years old and between the distances 10 km and 42,2 km. If an entry is made with no seeding requests the entrant is automatically seeded in the last start group.
No change of start group will be allowed during the competition weekend.
There is seeding only in the men and women 30 km (M/K30) and men and women 15 km (MK15).

N.B. Participants starting in a earlier start group than they are entered in, will automatically be disqualified. Read more about our seeding rules »
