Brighton 10km, November 18  – Caryl Jones, who ran for Great Britain in the world half-marathon championships last month, won in 32:34, just three seconds down on her PB from Cardiff, which places her third in the McCain Power of Ten rankings

Nijmegen 15km, Holland, November 18

Jonny Mellor (David Evans) finished 11th in this top class race in 44:19.

Yokohama Women’s marathon, Japan, November 18

Double Olympic finalist Jo Pavey (Gavin Pavey) dropped out of the race after suffering from a sore throat in the last few days before the race.

National Collegiate Championships, Division 1, Louisville, November 17

Thomas Farrell (Dave Smith), who missed out on an Olympic 5000m place after a summer injury, produced the leading British performance, finishing ninth in 29:26.3. Chris O’Hare (Steve Dulley) finished 20th in 29:46.4 amd Mitch Goose (Tim Ash) 23rd in 29:48.7.
